Sophie Renwick lives on Lake Erie’s north shore with her daughter and husband. A fantasy geek, Sophie draws inspiration from Star Wars (Anakin Skywalker is the ultimate tortured hero!) Excalibur, Highlander, and those awesome Ring Wraiths in Lord of the Rings. She always draws heavily on her Scottish upbringing, and treasures those stories her grandparents used to tell her about fairies, and midgies and those enchanting Night Woods. I love cooking and thumbing through cookbooks looking for new recipes to try. Some of my best brainstorming ideas come when I’m grocery shopping, cooking and doing dishes….handy for when I need ideas, and I have to make supper! LoL!

I believe you can never go wrong with meat loaf and mac & cheese!

Some favorite heroes in romances are Reyes from the Darkest Pleasure (Lord of the Underworld series-Gena Showalter) Rhage and V, and Phury from The Black Dagger Brotherhood-JR Ward, Sebastian, from Devil In Winter-Lisa Kleypas.

Currently, I’m diving into a couple of ‘new to me’ authors. They are Lora Leigh, I’m starting with her ‘breed’ series, and Joey W Hill.

I love snowstorms and lying in bed at night listening to the howling winds~as long as I don’t have to go anywhere!

My favorite time of the day is early in the morning when everyone is still asleep. I creep into my study, and write while the dog lies on my feet.

I love that first sip of morning’s first coffee, and the taste of Earl Grey tea in the afternoon.

I love high heels, evening bags, and costume jewelry. Yes, I am a cheap thrill!

I love going for ‘ethnic’ food. Currently I’m on an Arabic kick, but have been known to like Moroccan as well. And it goes without saying that Italian is up there, too!

I’m a fantasy geek, who actually cries EVERY time I watch Star Wars and Anakin finally gets transformed into Darth Vadar. GAWD, when they raise him from that table and he takes that first breath, it gives me goosebumps!

I secretly crush on all my heroes!

My husband is fantastic, and so understanding when I’m Googling pictures of hot men, all in the name of research! 

I’m very grateful to be doing what I’m doing. Writing has always been a dream, and while sometimes it’s hard, I never want to stop creating!
